The aging platform needed to be restructured and redesigned to provide an optimal experience to users, and increase publisher's revenues.
Working closely with the product team, we began by analyzing data and evaluating the current user experience through interviews to identify the platform’s needs and pain points.
The major issues that emerged included a general lack of uniformity across sections, complex forms that prevented the settings from being fully leveraged, and outdated features and design.
The design
First of all, and with a defined a product map in place, I crafted initial wireframes to validate key structural changes.
The next steps consisted in creating the Design System, and prototype samples to test the new architecture and design as a whole.
We then asked users to validate the design and navigation choices, which allowed us to make some final adjustments.
Developement and testing
As soon as the implementation of the new interfaces started, I carried out continuous integration tests to guarantee the design of the product.
At each stage of development, we asked users to test the effectiveness of the improvements, and we also observed their behavior with the help of Hotjar.
